The Heart Of Swiss Park - Our History

 

The Swiss Park Hotels (SPH) story is a love story which started over twenty years ago.

 

At the heart of this love story is our Founder and Chairman, Prince George - a man and leader greatly respected and much adored by all those who have the pleasure of knowing him as a guest, as a colleague, as part of the SPH family.

 

It all began, back in the 1990s. In 1997, as newly-weds of modest beginnings, their shared love for, and innate understanding of world class hospitality, exquisite style, fine cuisine, grand architecture and inspiring travel, set the foundations for the establishment of leading hotels in Nigeria. Ground-breaking for the time, each hotel was hailed as the height of taste and excellence in dining, accommodation and service, while staying true to the promise of value. In 1999, their journey took them, to Great Britain. It is there that the next chapter of their story unfolded. In 2000, starting with South East-based "The Swiss Park Hotel Nnewi", Prince George, decided to create SPH, where his lifelong love for the hotel business, first came to life.

 

SPH has evolved since into what is now an award winning, family owned and run collection of boutique luxury hotels, along with a gastro-pub and a  African inspired Lagos restaurant. From South East Nigeria and the West Nigeria, SPH has established a reputation for timeless décor, exceptional locations, highly personal and genuine guest care, and celebrated cuisine. SPH has become a ‘home away from home’ for the business and holiday travellers who know, feel and appreciate the SPH difference.
